Sheriff officials were able to affect the confiscation of 182 Lb.s of marijuana in an operative which took place in the Siesta Acres sector of the city.
Sheriff Tom Schmerber informed The News Gram that the incident occurred at approximately 8:00 P.M. when officials received word that there was a suspicious pickup truck in the area with Mexican license plates. The pickup truck was black in color.
Agents immediately reported to the scene.
According to the report, Sheriff's officials caught up to the vehicle in an alley behind a local convenience store.
Inside the cabin of the vehicle, in plain sight were three large containers containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. The weight was given at 182 Lbs., no equivalent street value was given.
No other information was given with respect to this case, however it was reported that there was at least one arrest, but the case remains under investigation.
