Covid-19-Related Deaths Nears 400

The Texas Department of State Health Services reported another Covid-19-related death over the weekend, bringing the total to 399.

A rundown of deaths per month since the onset of the Covid-19 Pandemic is provided. In April 2020 there was 1 death; May had 1 death. In June of  2020 there were 5 deaths; July 42; August had 78 deaths; September had 28 deaths; October had 18; November had 17; December had 27; January 2021 had 68 deaths; February had 51; March had 18; April had 2 deaths; May had 3; June, July, and August had 4 each. September had 19 deaths.

So far during the month of October there have been 68 COVID cases and 9 fatalities reported for Maverick County.

Local Governmental and Health Authorities are urging those who are unvaccinated to consider getting vaccinated as soon as possible, as well as continue using masks and maintaining social distancing protocols.
