The Maverick County Sheriff Department were summoned to a residence where they found a deceased 32-year-old male.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies made contact with residents who led them to an area at the back of the property where the dead individual had been found.
A Maverick County Justice of the Peace was summoned to the scene where a pronouncement of death was then given.
An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.
