El sheriff del condado de Maverick, Tom Schmerber, declaró que el sujeto usó un par de cordones para intentar ahorcarse mientras estaba dentro de su vehículo, un Chevrolet Tahoe.

El incidente ocurrió en la calle Agarita en el sector Siesta Acres de la comunidad cuando los agentes del Sheriff y el personal de EMS del Departamento de Bomberos de Eagle Pass fueron convocados al área para brindar atención médica al sujeto, quien se había desmayado por su intento de acabar con su propia vida. .

Finalmente, la persona fue transportada a la sala de emergencias de los centros médicos regionales de Fort Duncan para una evaluación y tratamiento adicionales.

El sujeto será referido al Departamento de Salud  de Camino Real para obtener más ayuda.

Man Attempts to Take his Life by hanging himself with Shoelaces

Authorities are reporting that a male individual attempted to commit suicide by hanging on Wednesday, September 8.

Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber stated that the subject used a pair of shoelaces to try to hang himself while inside his vehicle, a Chevrolet Tahoe.

The incident occurred on Agarita St. in the Siesta Acres Sector of the community when Sheriff deputies and Eagle Pass Fire Department EMS personnel were summoned to the area to provide medical attention to the subject, who had passed out from his attempt to end his own life. 

The individual was eventually transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Centers Emergency Room for further evaluation and treatment.

The subject will be referred to the Camino Real Mental Health Department for further assistance.
