Commissioners Court Visit Precincts as a Group to Prioritize Funding for Street Constructions

The Maverick County Commissioners Court held a meeting on Tuesday where they had on-site visits to all four precincts.

The visits were carried out to ascertain what is needed in certain areas including the paving of streets.

The county has been paving many streets throughout all four precincts in the past two budget cycles. This year, apart from increasing precinct budgets, the county has set aside $2,000,000 to be used for paving projects.

The court held walkthroughs in all four precincts to come to a concensus as to what projects could be seen of greater importance.

The $2,000,000 are from a $6.2 million dollar Certificate of Obligation that was issued out for this fiscal year.

All four Commissioners have a wish list and are presenting it to be considered.
