Teams have arrived, the monumental task of finding lodging for all these squads is in the books and the 2021 15 year-Old World Series commenced on Wednesday with the formal inauguration and parade of teams taking place on Wednesday.

Great looking baseball squads from Del Rio, Eagle Pass, Meridian, Mississippi, Tallahassee, Florida, Mifflin, County Pennsylvania, Trumbull, Connecticut, Lexington, Kentucky, Bismarck, North Dakota, Kelso, Washington, Washington and Tri-Valley, California came into the stadium in their newly acquired uniforms, a rite of passage indicative of their accomplishment of reaching the hallowed ground of the Babe Ruth World Series.

“We went through our region undefeated (defeating Sylacauga, Alabama to get here),” said Chuck Butler, Manager of the Southwest Region, Meridian team, “Everything here is first class. We’ve been to four World Series and this is by far the best facility we’ve seen.”

Guillermo Sanchez and Hector Sandoval of Del Rio also weighed in, “The facilities are incredible,” said Sandoval, “It’s the first time I’ve seen something like this so close to home.”

“We’re very excited to be here.” added Sanchez, “Our pool is going to be stiff competition, but it’s going to be fun.”

Jim Hewey, the Head Coach of Kelso, Washington shared his enthusiasm, “Great place here. The facilities are awesome. We’re excited to come down here. These kids have been dreaming about this since they were eight. So it;’s a dream come true for them.”

“We’ve been getting ready. Our goal is to take all of our pool games. This teams a lot of experience. They’ve shown me a lot in the past, I’m sure they’re ready to play some baseball.”

“It’s been a long trip down here, but a very rewarding trip,” said Mike Buswell of Trumbull, Connecticut, “We beat our in-state rival. We were Regional Hosts and we beat the Connecticut State Champion New London, Connecticut in the final. We were both undefeated in the championship and won 13-7.”

“Everybody here has been Super-welcoming,” closed Ryan Lewis of Tallahassee, “It’s nice to come to a town that welcomes ball players from all over The United States.”

And all these players, coaches, parents, chaperones and national commissioners will soon see that baseball is king in our little corner of The Big Blue Marble, in Eagle Pass, Texas. “El Beisból es El Rey de Los Deportes” on the Texas-Mexico Border. The waiting is over… It’s time to play baseball.
