Covid-19 Cases Continue to Increase
Over the weekend, the Texas Department of State Health Services reported 16 new positive COVID-19 cases and no new fatalities in Maverick County.
Currently, there are a total of 11,106 cases, 37 recovered cases and 218 active cases.
During the first 7 days the total cases reported account for 106.3% of July's total cases.
Local Governmental and Health Authorities are urging those who are unvaccinated to consider getting vaccinated as soon as possible, as well as using masks and maintaining social distancing protocols.
In late July, the United States reversed the mask-wearing rules for people who were fully vaccinated against Covid. The Centers for Disease Control advised that people should again wear masks in indoor public places.
