Eagle Pass Port Director Paul Del Rincon announced that he had received instructions from the Federal Government that due to increase in Covid-19 Virus cases the United States Customs and Border Protection will reinforce prevention measures.
This includes the reestablishment of the use of face masks for both employees and people crossing through the Port of Entry.
This includes the required wearing of a mask to enter their facilities.
Just last week, the United States Centers for Disease Control issued out new guidance calling for the wearing of masks in public spaces after it had stopped such requirement a few months ago.
Locally, on both sides of the border there has been an increase in positive cases after having seen a drop off for several months.
