Del Rincón afirmó que mientras realizaba un control, el individuo - que conducía un Dodge Charger gris - fue enviado para un segundo control de inspección, sin embargo, el conductor no se detuvo y aceleró a alta velocidad, rumbo a México.

Luego, el individuo atravesó el área de la cabina de peaje en el lado mexicano y terminó su fuga.

El sujeto ha sido identificado y las autoridades esperan realizar un arresto donde será acusado de fuga de las autoridades federales.

Subject Escapes from Customs Agents at 

Bridge No. 1

Eagle Pass Port Director Paul Del Rincon reported that on Wednesday, July 14, a motorist escaped Eagle Pass Customs officers and sped toward Piedras Negras over International Bridge No. 1.

Del Rincon stated that while conducting a check, the individual - who was driving a gray Dodge Charger - was sent for a second inspection check, however, the driver did not stop and accelerated at high speed, headed towards Mexico.

The individual then rammed through the toll booth area on the Mexican side and finished his escape.

The subject has been identified and authorities are hoping to make an arrest where he will be charged with escaping from Federal authorities.
