Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas announced that the City is looking at investing close to $10 million dollars for 10 drainage improvement projects throughout the community.

During a press conference held on Wednesday, July 14, Salinas stated that the work on some areas have begun and are necessary to ease flooding issues.

"The plan consists of 10 projects that the city will be taking on one at a time. We are currently working on the Debona area project. Next fiscal year we expect to work on three other projects from our list," said Salinas.

The funding for these projects is coming from the city's annual budget for capital improvement projects and from monies acquired from a $28 million dollar Certificate of Obligation.
