El tema se ha estado gestando durante algunas semanas y recientemente se trató brevemente en una reunión del Ayuntamiento celebrada el lunes 28 de junio.

La Alcaldesa Pro Tem Yolanda Ramon trajo el tema durante una discusión en la que mencionó el problema que, según ella, estaba relacionado con ella, incluyendo fotografías de algunas de las áreas problemáticas.

En las últimas semanas, varios comerciantes del centro han expresado su preocupación por el cuidado de algunas de las aceras y otras propiedades.

Un paseo por el centro encontró algunas áreas cubiertas de maleza y otras áreas desagradables.

El hecho fue luego informado a un alto funcionario de la ciudad y una semana después esas áreas fueron atendidas.

Todavía hay algunas áreas que necesitan algunas mejoras.

Es importante saber que algunas de estas áreas pueden pertenecer a propietarios privados. Luego, eso dependería de la Cumplimiento del Código de la Ciudad de Eagle Pass para hacer una visita y asegurarse de que los propietarios cumplan con las ordenanzas de la ciudad.

Officials Receive Complaints over Care of Parks and Downtown Area

Officials have received several complaints about the aesthetics of our local parks and other areas including in the downtown area since the maintenance of these facilities and other areas were outsourced.

The topic has been brewing for a few weeks and was recently brought up briefly at a City Council meeting held on Monday, June 28.

Mayor Pro Tem Yolanda Ramon brought up the subject during a discussion, which mentioned the problem that she stated were related to her, including pictures of some of the problem areas. 

In recent weeks, several downtown merchants have raised concerns over the care of some of the sidewalks and other properties.

A walk through downtown did find some areas to be overgrown in weeds and other unsightly areas.

The fact then was brought up to a high-ranking City official and a week later those areas were taken care of.

There are still some areas that do need some improvements.

It's important to note that some of these areas might belong to private owners. Then that would be up to the City of Eagle Pass Code Enforcement to pay a visit and assure that the property owners are in compliance with city ordinances.
