El sheriff Schmerber declaró que los agentes fueron a la residencia en una llamada anonima de residentes de esa area al ver algo sospechoso  

Al llegar al lugar, los agentes se encontraron con un  gran grupo de personas dentro de una casa.

Los agentes pudieron ponerse en contacto con los individuos y convocaron a la Patrulla Fronteriza de los Estados Unidos al lugar.

En total fueron 42 personas, que fueron detenidas por la Patrulla Fronteriza de Estados Unidos.

El sheriff Schmerber afirma que la inmigración ilegal es un problema continuo que pone en peligro la vida de muchas personas.

También pide a cualquier persona que vea actividad sospechosa a que la informe al Departamento del Sheriff del Condado de Maverick al (830)773-2321 o al Departamento de Policía de Eagle Pass al (830) 773-9044.

42 Undocumented Immigrants Detained at Las Brisas Safe House

Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber reported that deputies, with the assistance of the United States Border Patrol, were able to detain 42 Undocumented Immigrants at a safe house located in the Las Brisas Sector of the community on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at approximately 11:05 am.

Sheriff Schmerber stated that deputies were summoned to the residence on a welfare concern call.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies encountered the large group of individuals inside a home.

The deputies were able to make contact with the individuals and summoned the United States Border Patrol to the scene.

In total there were 42 individuals, who were detained by the U.S. Border Patrol.

Sheriff Schmerber states that illegal immigration is an ongoing problem that puts many people’s lives in danger.

He also urges anyone that sees suspicious activity to please report it to either the Maverick County Sheriff Department at (830)773-2321 or the Eagle Pass Police Department at (830)773-9044.
