El sheriff Schmerber declaró que los agentes respondieron a la escena del incidente alrededor de las 11:05 am del miércoles con respecto a un tiroteo.
Al llegar a la escena, se estableció contacto con el Departamento de Seguridad Pública de Texas y con agentes de la Patrulla Fronteriza de los Estados Unidos que tenían al menos tres sujetos detenidos.
La víctima, que se cree que es un indocumentado, fue llevado al Hospital Val Verde por estar mas cerca del lugar del incidente .
El caso se encuentra bajo investigación para determinar qué ocurrió que provocó el tiroteo.

Undocumented Immigrant shot while out at a ranch
Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber reported that an individual believed to be an undocumented immigrant was shot at least once in the leg while out in a ranch near the Maverick County line.
Sheriff Schmerber stated that deputies responded to the incident scene around 11:05 am on Wednesday in regard to a shooting.
Upon arriving at the scene contact was made with the Texas Department of Public Safety and United States Border Patrol agents who had at least three subjects detained.
The victim who is believed to be an undocumented immigrant was taken to the Val Verde Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
The case is under investigation to ascertain what occurred that led to the shooting.
