This now takes the death toll to 185 since the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic back in the month of March.
Officials are urging the community to do everything possible to help stop the spread of the deadly virus that continues spreading in our community.
During the daily Covid-19 briefing, City Councilman Elias Diaz and Maverick County Pct.1 Commissioner Jerry Morales presented the newest infection numbers.
As of Wednesday, January 27 there have been 8,927 positive cases with 7,422 who have recovered.
There have been 42,322 tests conducted with 33,407 coming back negative.
Currently there are 1,320 active cases, which concerns officials due to the dangers that so many cases all at once can pose.

Emergency Operation Center Officials announced that another 2 people have died from complications related to the Covid-19 Virus in our community.
