Hasta ahora, los funcionarios del Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia han informado de 8.593 infecciones por Covid-19. De esas 177 personas han perdido la vida trágicamente. Eso representa que 1 de cada 48,5 personas que dieron positivo en la prueba ha muerto.

Recientemente, el New York Times informó que muchas de las áreas metropolitanas estadounidenses con la mayoría de los casos reportados en relación con sus poblaciones se encuentran en el sur o el suroeste.

Eagle Pass estaba dentro del top 5 para el área suroeste del país.

Los funcionarios continúan instando a la comunidad a seguir usando una máscara, lavarse las manos con frecuencia y practicar medidas seguras de distanciamiento social.

Esta ha sido una tarea difícil ya que las infecciones han ido en aumento últimamente, siendo el mes de enero el mes más infeccioso desde el inicio de la pandemia Covid-19 en marzo.

14.7 percent of community has been infected with Covid 19

14.7 percent of the entire Maverick County population has been infected with the Covid-19 Virus since the onset of the pandemic back in the month of March 2020.

Up until now Emergency Operation Center Officials have reported 8,593 Covid-19 infections. Of those 177 people have tragically lost their lives. That represents 1 out of every 48.5 people that have tested positive have died.

Recently, the New York Times reported that many of the American metropolitan areas with the most reported cases relative to their populations are in the South or Southwest.

Eagle Pass was within the top 5 for the Southwest area of the Country.

Officials continue urging the community to keep wearing a mask, washing your hands often and practice safe social distancing measures.

This has been a hard task as infections have been on the rise lately with the month of January being the most infectious month since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic back in March.
