With over 1,300 people receiving the Covid-19 vaccines on Wednesday and Thursday, officials are hoping the State will eventually increase the amount of vaccines they allocate to our community.
For now, the EOC is expecting to receive another 1,200 vaccines on Monday that will be administered throughout the week.
Currently, the vaccines are being made available to people that fall under Tier 1 A and 1 B which includes medical care professionals, people over the age of 65 and individuals 18 years and older with chronic medical conditions.
Up until now 3,500 vaccines have been administered in our community.
Officials are hoping that the State will eventually allocate a larger quantity of dosages to speed up the inoculation process in our community, which has over 60,000 residents.
