El evento de distribución de alimentos se llevó a cabo el viernes en el Centro de Actividades Estudiantiles del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Eagle Pass con diferentes organizaciones voluntarias para hacerlo posible.
El juez del condado de Maverick, David Saucedo, y el alcalde de Eagle Pass, Luis Sifuentes, quisieran agradecer a todas las organizaciones que lo hicieron posible, especialmente al South Texas Food Bank y HEB, que proporcionaron los productos alimenticios distribuidos.
HEB donó toneladas de productos alimenticios en todo el estado como parte de su celebración anual de la Fiesta de Compartir, que no se llevó a cabo debido a la pandemia Covid-19.
Como una forma de retribuir a las comunidades, HEB se asoció con diferentes organizaciones en todo el estado para realizar eventos de distribución de alimentos durante la temporada navideña.
Se recuerda a la comunidad que celebre de manera responsable y siga todas las medidas de seguridad para ayudar a mitigar la propagación del virus Covid-19 que ha infectado a más de 5,000 miembros de la comunidad y ha matado a 153.

Feast of Sharing Food Distribution event a great success
The Food Distribution event held between HEB, South Texas Food Bank and local officials was a great success with thousands of families participating.
The food distribution event was held on Friday at the Eagle Pass Independent School District Student Activities Center with different organizations volunteering in making it possible.
Maverick County Judge David Saucedo and Eagle Pass Mayor Luis Sifuentes would like to thank all the organizations who made it possible, especially South Texas Food Bank and HEB who provided the food commodities distributed.
HEB donated tons of food commodities across the state as part of their annual Feast of Sharing celebration which did not take place due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
As a way of giving back to the communities, HEB partnered with different organizations across the state to hold food distribution events during the holiday season. The community is reminded to celebrate responsibly and to follow all safety measures to help mitigate the spread of the Covid-19 Virus that has infected over 5,000 community members and killed 153.
