Covid-19 cases increase by 412% in one day

Covid-19 Virus positive cases saw a 412% increase from one day to the next.

Maverick County Judge David Saucedo and Eagle Pass Mayor Luis Sifuentes announced that there had been 41 new cases detected on Tuesday, October 28, bringing the total of positive Covid-19 cases to 4,273.

The previous day there had only been 8 new Positive Covid-19 cases reported.

At this present time we're seeing our community at the point of a second wave of cases that could be sparked by the incoming flu season.

Currently, there have been 22,907 people that have been tested with 18,332 coming back negative.

There are 423 active cases and 302 pending results.

There are 22 patients that are currently hospitalized, with 3 on ventilators.
