El superintendente Mijares dijo que un maestro de ese campus había dado positivo y que otros cuatro fueron enviados a casa como medida de precaución.
El Distrito Escolar Independiente de Eagle Pass ha sido muy transparente sobre la situación de Covid-19 desde su inicio.
Mijares ha declarado en muchas ocasiones que el Distrito no tiene ninguna razón para restar importancia o mentir sobre un problema que iba a enfrentar, ya sea en el EPISD o en otro lugar.
El virus está aquí y sigue estando aquí y seguramente causará infecciones no solo en el distrito escolar sino en muchos otros lugares de reunión social.
El superintendente Mijares agregó que se reuniría con el juez del condado de Maverick, David Saucedo, y el alcalde de Eagle Pass, Luis Sifuentes, para discutir la situación actual con las infecciones y las medidas de precaución tomadas que incluyen enviar a los empleados de EPISD a casa.

multiple Covid 19 infections at ECC
EPISD Superintendent Samuel Mijares reported that despite information being passed around that 5 employees at the Early Childhood Center Including 2 teachers had supposedly tested positive, it is only one Individual.
Superintendent Mijares stated that a teacher from that campus had indeed tested positive and four others were sent home as a precaution.
The Eagle Pass Independent School District has been very transparent over the Covid-19 situation since its onset.
Mijares has stated on many occasions that the District has no reason to downplay or lie about a problem that were going to face whether it be at the EPISD or elsewhere.
The Virus is here and continues to be here and will surely cause infections not only at the school district but in many other social gathering places.
Superintendent Mijares did add that he would be meeting with Maverick County Judge David Saucedo and Eagle Pass Mayor Luis Sifuentes to discuss the ongoing situation with infections and precautionary measures taken which includes sending EPISD employees home.
