Beginning of Friday, September 4, 2020, individuals trying to cross into Mexico through Eagle Pass will have a more difficult time.

The Piedras Negras Municipal Government announced on Monday that in order to keep the number of positive cases of Covid-19 down across the region, as of this Friday, September 4, more extensive questionnaires will be implemented on the health status of visitors from the United States who enter Piedras Negras through both international bridges.
In addition, they will be verifying that the visit is essential and that everyone complies with the use of a face mask.
“We ask foreign visitors for their cooperation in answering this questionnaire and be aware that, due to its nature, this will cause longer lines, so the crossover time could be extended by several hours.  If the reason for their visit is not essential, they will be returned to the United States,” stated the PN municipality. “We remind you that in the state of Coahuila the use of a mask is mandatory when on public roads and those who do not follow said order will be penalized with a fine of 200 pesos for each person who is not wearing a mask.”
“We reiterate the call to all Piedras Negras Residents and visitors to only leave home in essential cases.”
