6 to be arrested for not following their Covid 19 Quarantine orders

Public Officials announced that 6 individuals who had tested positive for Covid-19 are going to be arrested this week for violating their quarantine orders.

Maverick County Judge David Saucedo and Eagle Pass Mayor Luis Sifuentes have stated that those individuals will be detained in the coming days and criminally charged after not adhering to the Quarantine order set by Local Health Authority Dr. Victoriano Valdez which prohibits a positive Covid-19 individual to go out in public. This is considered a reckless act that puts other people in danger.

The individuals will be detained and charged under the Texas Health and Safety Code.

In the past few months there have been other individuals who have also been arrested and charged criminally after not following the restrictive orders.
