Maverick County and City of Eagle Pass officials are going to be looking into how much community residents follow new restrictionary measures at our public parks this week, before taking a decision that could possibly shut them down.

Judge David Saucedo and the Maverick County Commissioners Court approved a new order on Monday in which the new restrictions including the mandatory use of masks while at public parks and only two people per household to be allowed in public locations except restaurants was put into place.
Judge Saucedo has stated that they will be deciding by the end of the week if they will just shut down all the parks from public use or leave them open with restrictions.
The restrictionary measures have come into place as officials have found that park visitors are not complying with wearing masks, and social distancing measures. They are often gathering in large groups as well.
