As part of offering extra protection against the Covid-19 Virus, Maverick County has installed sanitation misting tunnels at both Court Houses.

Maverick County District Clerk and Emergency Coordinator Polo Vielma stated that the sanitizer misting tunnels are part of an effort to keep visitors, and employees safe while conducting business at the County Courthouses and District Court settings.

At this time, in-person contact is limited at most County offices and employees are obligated to wear face coverings and practice safe social distancing measures.

The added protection is part of the State's requirements to allow for District Court hearings to begin a transition to have inperson Court settings.

For several months, the 293rd and 365th District Courts have held hearings and other functions via Zoom conferences.
