At this point in time, EPISD Superintendent Samuel Mijares has reported that they are more than likely going to begin the year under remote instruction.
This is a great relief to students, staff and thousands of families who could not fathom the thought of having to send off their children to participate, under an in-person program.
The Texas Education Agency last week issued out certain recommendations to be used by School Districts across the State.
Under the guides they provided more flexibility to school districts that want to limit or delay in-person classes to start the 2020-21 school year.
These guides will allow public school districts to require students with at-home technology to begin the year in virtual classes for up to eight weeks.
Further details will be provided this week by Superintendent Mijares.
