En el Pct. 4 Carrera de Contestable Joe "Mike" Beattie tiene una votación final de 547 derrotando a Héctor "Big Rod" Rodriguez (384 votos) por un margen de 163 votos.
Hubo un total de 3,438 votos emitidos durante la segunda vuelta de las elecciones.
Beattie, Ramos, and De La Torre win Constable Run-off
The Maverick County Run-off elections was full of surprises with first time candidates Joe “Mike” Beattie, Oscar Ramos and Albert De La Torre winning their Constable elections.
At this point in time, three of the five Constable positions will have fresh faces who have all promised to have a greater presence in their Precinct which includes patrolling, something that was missing for years.
At around 7:00 PM the early voting numbers were reported and in the Constable Pct. 1 race incumbent Rudy Valdez was down by a narrow margin with 445 votes, 47.95% while his opponent Oscar Ramos had 483 votes, 54.56%. In the hotly contested Pct. 2 Constable race Alberto De La Torre had a 17 vote lead with 483 or 50.90% while Cantu was holding her own at 466 votes or 49.10%.
Joe "Mike” Beattie had a commanding lead with 436 votes or 60.22% while Hector Rodriguez had 288 votes or 39.78%.
At around 8:40 pm Central Count Election Judge Arturo Delgado made his way down the County Courthouse steps to read the final vote counts and call the run-off election winners.
The final unofficial count in the Pct 1 Constable race had Oscar Ramos (653) beat Incumbent Rudy Valdez (625) by 28 votes.
In the Pct. 2 Constable race Alberto De La Torre (659 votes) defeated Denise Cantu (570 votes) by 89 votes.
