El Departamento del Sheriff del Condado de Maverick informó detuvieron un auto Chevrolet negro el viernes 12 de junio alrededor de las 7:00 pm en un área a lo largo de Del Rio Blvd por sospecha de placas falsas.
El conductor se negó a cooperar con el diputado que realizaba la parada de tráfico. Otros oficiales llegaron en breve y el sujeto fue detenido.

El sujeto fue detenido y transportado al centro de detención de Tom Bowles para su procesamiento.

Fictitious license plates lead to human smuggling scheme
A male subject was arrested by the Maverick County Sheriff's Department and two undocumented immigrants were turned over to the United States Border Patrol after a traffic stop was conducted.
The Maverick County Sheriff's Department reported a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet truck on Friday, June 12, at around 7:00 pm in an area along Del Rio Blvd for suspicion of fictitious license plates.
The male driver refused to cooperate with the sheriff deputy conducting the traffic stop. Other officers shortly arrived and the subject was detained. While conducting an inspection of the vehicle, contact was made with two females who admitted to the law enforcement officials that they were undocumented immigrants.
The male subject was then detained and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
The United States Border Patrol arrived and the female subjects were handed over to them.
The male subject is expected to face several charges including resisting arrest, fictitious license plates, and human trafficking.
