Iniciaron una parada por una infracción de tránsito e hicieron contacto con el conductor que no tenía licencia y el vehículo tampoco tenía seguro.

Luego, los agentes descubrieron a 9 personas en la Tahoe. Se descubrió que todos eran inmigrantes indocumentados.

El conductor y los indocumentados fueron entregados a la Patrulla Fronteriza de los Estados Unidos.

Sheriff Deputies detain human smuggler and 9 illegals

Maverick County Sheriff Department Deputies detained a human smuggler and 9 undocumented immigrants on Thursday, June 4. While out patrolling an area along Highway 277 N. near the Elm Creek sector of the community, officers intercepted a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe.

They initiated a stop for a traffic violation and made contact with the driver who had no license and the vehicle also was uninsured. The deputies then discovered 9 people laid out in the bed of pickup.

It was discovered that they were all undocumented immigrants. The driver and the undocumented were turned over to the United States Border Patrol.
