Superintendent Mijares held a press conference on Tuesday at the EPISD Administrative offices where he announced that the Eagle Pass High School graduation will be held on June 26. The CC Winn High School graduation will be on June 27.
Mijares gave some details into a huge undertaking that they will have due to the restrictions set in place because of the COVID-19 Virus Pandemic.
“We will be limiting the amount of people to attend. Only one vehicle per family with up to 4 people and the graduate will be allowed. They will also have to be from the same household and no children under the age of 10 will be allowed to attend,” stated Mijares.
Doors will open at 7:00 pm at the EPISD Student Activities Center and Graduation will begin at 8:45 pm.
“We are asking the community to assist us because this is going to be a huge undertaking,” said Mijares.
Mijares explained that they will be working together with law enforcement officials and other agencies in assuring everyone's safety during this event.
Graduates and families who are planning on attending will be asked to RSVP their reservation. A phone number where to call will be given out in the near future.
The EPISD will be practicing social distancing measures during these ceremonies to assure that everyone in attendance is safe.
