Superintendent Mijares informed the community that the employee had not reported to work at the Rosita Valley Elementary Cafeteria for approximately 10 days and later tested positive.
“We have had all the employees at the cafeteria area tested, and they have come back negative. We had closed down the food curbside program in that school out of precaution, and we are scheduled to begin again next Tuesday,” said Mijares.
Superintendent Mijares assures the community residents that all safety measures are taken at the EPISD to assure everyones safety and well being.
Outside sources have stated that the employee, a female, was infected outside the EPISD workplace and had not been going to work under precautionary measures because her husband had tested positive for COVID-19.

Eagle Pass Independent School Superintendent Samuel Mijares announced that an EPISD Cafeteria worker tested positive for the COVID-19 Virus.
