El Dr. Victoriano Valdez, autoridad local de salud, informó que hasta el lunes 11 de mayo hay 45 casos de virus COVID-19 en el condado de Maverick.
El Dr. Valdez agregó que se han realizado 905 pruebas con 677 regresando negativas.
"Los 4 nuevos casos agregados a nuestra lista son de las 132 personas que fueron evaluadas este fin de semana por la Guardia Nacional de los Estados Unidos", dijo Valdez.
Hay aproximadamente 183 pruebas pendientes.
Se informó que 12 personas se han recuperado.
El alcalde Luis Sifuentes afirmó que una persona que había dado positivo y que había pasado por el período de cuarentena permanece aislada porque ha sido analizada nuevamente en dos ocasiones y sigue infectada.

COVID 19 Virus cases jump
by 76 % in a 4 day period
In a span of four days the number of COVID-19 Virus cases in Eagle Pass increased by 73,% going from 26 reported last Friday to 45 on Monday evening.
Local Health Authority Dr. Victoriano Valdez reported that as of Monday, May 11th there are 45 COVID-19 Virus cases in Maverick County.
Dr. Valdez added that there have been 905 tests conducted with 677 coming back negative.
“The 4 new cases added to our list are from the 132 people that were tested this weekend by the U. S. National Guard,” said Valdez.
There are approximately 183 tests pending.
There are 12 Individuals reported to have recovered.
Mayor Luis Sifuentes did state that one individual who had tested positive and has gone through the quarantine period remains under isolation because they've been retested in two occasions, and they remain infected.
