During a meeting held on Tuesday, April 21 the city council discussed with their attorney personnel matters regarding the use of an Emergency Contingency Plan for City of Eagle Pass Operations, and possible action in open session regarding same.
Once back in open session Eagle Pass Mayor Luis Sifuentes made a recommendation for Administration to extend the emergency leave through Sunday, April 26 and begin formulating a plan to begin bringing back employees starting on Monday, April 27.
The Eagle Pass City Council voted in favor of the item on a unanimous vote.
The majority of City of Eagle Pass employees have been out on emergency leave for several weeks due to the COVID-19 Virus Pandemic.
