Voting numbers on pace to surpass 2018 voter totals

Through six days of early voting this year's Texas Primary Democratic Election is on pace to have more voter participation than the 2018 election period.

As of Monday, February 24, 2020, there have been 4,522 votes cast.

Back in 2018 in the same time period (6 days) there were 4,216 votes cast. Up to now, there have been 306 more votes cast in this election cycle than in 2018.

During the first day of this voting period there were 822 votes cast as compared to 2018, which had 844.

The second day in this election had 675 while in 2018 there were 530.

The third day total in 2020 was at 553 while in 2018 it ended at 518.

On the fourth day of early voting during this primary there were 624 votes while in 2018 there were 541.

During the fifth day of this voting period there were 1,216 people who voted. In 2018 there were 1,339.

On Monday, February 24, 2020, there were 632 votes while in 2018 there were 443.

Voter totals are expected to continue increasing and surpass 2018 voter counts by the end of the last day of voting, March 3rd.

Early voting continues throughout the rest of the week at the Multi-Purpose Center from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
