El CAFR ha sido juzgado por un panel imparcial para cumplir con los altos estándares del programa, incluida la demostración de un "espíritu de divulgación total" constructivo para comunicar claramente su historia financiera y motivar a los posibles usuarios y grupos de usuarios a leer el CAFR.

El premio representa un logro significativo de la Ciudad de Eagle Pass. Refleja el compromiso de la Ciudad del cuerpo directivo y el personal para cumplir con los más altos principios de presupuesto gubernamental. Para recibir el premio presupuestario, la entidad tenía que cumplir con las pautas reconocidas a nivel nacional para una presentación efectiva del presupuesto.

Estas pautas están diseñadas para evaluar qué tan bien sirve el presupuesto de una entidad como: Un documento de política, un plan financiero, una guía de operaciones, un dispositivo de comunicaciones.

City of EP’ Finance Department awarded

Certificate of Achievement for Excellence

EAGLE PASS, TX- The City of Eagle Pass’ Finance Department has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. The Financial Reporting Achievement award was presented to the City of Eagle Pass’ Finance Director, Jesus Rodriguez, who was primarily responsible for preparing the award-winning CAFR.

“It is the primary mission of our department to ensure proper financial management and reporting of the public funds that we manage.

The recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Finance Department employees in ensuring we accomplish our mission,” said Rodriguez.

The CAFR has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the CAFR.

“I proudly join the City of Eagle Pass in congratulating our City’s Finance Department on the exceptional job they’ve done in going above national standards and for being awarded The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting," stated Mayor Cantu.

The award represents a significant achievement by the City of Eagle Pass. It reflects the City’s commitment of the governing body and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. In order to receive the budget award, the entity had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. These guidelines are designed to assess how well an entity’s budget serves as: A policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide, a communications device.
