La tienda participante recolectó los juguetes como parte de una campaña de donación de clientes que tuvo lugar durante varias semanas.
El gerente de la tienda Dollar Tree, Mario Martínez, y el personal presentaron los juguetes al sheriff del condado de Maverick Tom Schmerber y al jefe adjunto Roberto De Leon en la ubicación de la tienda.
“Estamos agradecidos y apreciamos la participación de nuestros clientes. Estamos en nuestro cuarto año recolectando juguetes que se distribuyen a los niños locales ”, dijo Martínez. "Durante este tiempo, entendemos que hay muchos niños en nuestra comunidad que realmente disfrutarán los regalos que recibirán como parte de las donaciones de nuestros clientes".
“Realmente quiero agradecer a Dollar Tree por las donaciones. Estos juguetes se distribuirán a varias organizaciones, incluido el Refugio de Mujeres Winter Garden, que se encargará de dárselos a los niños necesitados locales", dijo el Sheriff Schmerber.

Dollar Tree Donates over
1,000 toys to local kids
The Dollar Tree Store located on Bibb Avenue donated approximately 1,000 toys to the Maverick County Sheriff's Department on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.
The toys were collected by the participating store as part of a customer donation drive that took place for several weeks.
Dollar Tree Store Manager Mario Martinez and staff presented the toys to Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber and Chief Deputy Roberto De Leon at the store's location.
“We are thankful and appreciate our customers participation.
We are on our 4th year of collecting toys that are distributed to local children,” said Martinez.
“During this time we understand that there are many children in our community that will really enjoy the gifts they are to receive as part of our customers donations.”
“I really want to thank Dollar Tree for the donations.
These toys are going to be distributed to several organizations including the Winter Garden Women's Shelter who will take care of giving them to local needy children,” said Sheriff Schmerber. "The holiday season is fast approaching, and we want to be able to give as many children a gift that will bring a smile to their faces.”
