McDonald's looking to Reconstruct Main St. Restaurant

McDonald's is looking to begin renovations/ reconstruction at their Main St. location in the near future. 

The fast food restaurant has been a staple in our community for more than 40 years and since then has been a popular fast food restaurant for so many families in the states and across the border as well.

According to Information disclosed during Tuesday's city council meeting, McDonald's is planning to demolish the existing building to reconstruct a new and better facility in the near future.

The renovation plans were made public during the Eagle Pass City Council meeting which included two public hearings regarding the McDonald's property located in the Main St. area.

The public hearings were for the request submitted by McDonald's Real Estate; clo Jorge Martinez ll for the rezoning of Lot 5, Block 57, of Hilcrest Addition (276 Pecos Street), from R-1 (First One-Family Dwelling District) to B-3 (General Business District) and for the rezoning of “Abstract A1111, Fox, F& J. Bryne, Survey #8%, Acres 1.39” (2130 E. Main Street), from R-1 (First One Family Dwelling District) to B-3 (General Business District. 

Both request were approved by the Eagle Pass City Council.

Extra official Information reports that the reconstruction project will begin in the month of January and will take up to 3-4 months to be complete. The project will consist of a new bigger and modernized building with all the bells and whistles.
