The Winter Garden Women's Shelter in Maverick County reported 98 Domestic Violence cases for this fiscal year.

“Domestic Violence continues to be a huge problem in our community. It is something that we as community must address,” said WGWS Advocate Carolina Gonzalez.

In past years Domestic Violence crimes have been at the top of crimes reported to local law enforcement authorities.

The sad and tragic fact that in the past decade the majority of murders in our area have been Domestic Violence related is something that we must never forget.

If you or a loved one is a victim of family violence you can contact Mrs. Gonzalez at (830) 757-5188 or stop by 465 Quarry St.
