The Maverick County Sheriff's Department reported a hit-and-run accident with a fixed object on Tuesday night on N. Highway 277 near Quemado when the driver of a gray Ford truck struck a utility light pole and left the vehicle behind.
According to Maverick County Sheriff's Department activity reports, the driver fled on foot and left the vehicle behind.
The vehicle had substantial damage to it's front end and was later towed to the Sheriff's Department vehicle yard.
The Maverick County Sheriff's Department has sufficient information on the vehicle's owner and are looking to interview him to determine who was driving the truck.
