The Maverick County Hospital District is observing and bringing awareness to Prostate Cancer during the month of September.

During this time, the MCHD's focus will be on educating the community of the disease that affects 1 man in 9 during their lifetime.

The District, through Dr. Michael Crone - a board certified Urologist - offer medical services to assist in any problem dealing with the male prostate.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in men and can be treated if detected in its early stages.

Prostate cancer may cause no signs or symptoms in its early stages.

Symptoms include; trouble urinating, decreased force in the stream of urine, blood in semen, discomfort in the pelvic area, bone pain, and erectile dysfunction.

If you or a loved one would like to set up an appointment with Urologist Michael Crone you can call (830)757-4900 or (830)757- 4901.
