MCHD approve fiscal year budget

The Maverick County Hospital District held a meeting in which they approved the District's operating and capital equipment budget and Ad Valorem Tax rate on August 30. 

The MCHD Board of Trustees is currently working on their fiscal year budget which includes a minimal tax rate increase.

MCHD Chie Executive Officer Alma Martinez and Chief Financial Officer Nestor Bonilla broke down this year's budget which is approximately $15 million dollars.

Among the highlights during this budget is a cost-ofliving adjustment for all employees of about 1.8%, and medical professional additions.

The MCHD Board moved to approve the fiscal year budget and tax rate.

The MCHD continues to work together to work in bettering the District's position. 

MCHD Board of Trustees President Jesus Casas is confident that the District will continue moving forward in a positive manner.

“We continue providing much-needed services to the region are looking at expanding those services. That will be beneficial for all the region,” said Casas.
