The Eagle Pass City Council recently selected the Offices of Mark A. Rodriguez to handle State Lobbying Services for the City of Eagle Pass.

The City Council held a meeting on August 18, in which they were looking to select Lobbying Consultants for both the state and federal level.

EP Finance Director Jesse Rodriguez presented the Council with information regarding state lobbying services.

Rodriguez informed the Council that there were 4 companies that had applied, and a recommendation had been made.

The Eagle Pass City Council voted in favor of hiring the Offices of Marc A. Rodriguez.

Rodriguez is based in Austin, Tx and has over 25 years of experience.

The Eagle Pass City Council decided to postpone naming a federal lobbying consultant as they had only received one application/resume.

The City has been aggressively pushing for representation at the state and federal level.

Hiring of a lobbying firm often times gets government agencies a seat right at the table to push their agenda of needs and wants.
