The City of Eagle Pass and Eagle Pass Independent School District are working together to provide local students interested in civil service an opportunity to train as Emergency Medical Technicians.
Eagle Pass Fire Chief Manuel Mello presented the City Council information regarding a request by both entities to allow for EPFD instructors to give emergency medical technician courses at EPISD.
"This will allow us to train students who are interested in this field of work and help out the community by expanding the EMT professional pool. This is a win, win situation,” stated Chief Mello.
The Eagle Pass City Council concurred with Chief Mello and approved the request unanimously.
