GLORIA M. RODRIGUEZ

1944 - 2023

 

GLORIA M. RODRIGUEZ, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the age of 78. Left to cherish her memory are her Son: Jose Rogelio Rodriguez Jr. (Sylvia) of Uvalde; 2 Daughters: Rosaura Rodriguez of San Marcos and Dolores A. Rodriguez of Eagle Pass; 4 Sisters: Guadalupe Rodriguez, Sandra Contreras, Maribel Vasquez and Maricela Lopez; 4 Brothers: Juan Martinez, Jose Martinez, Roman Vasquez and Juan M. Vasquez. Gloria was also survived by 10 grandchildren. Gloria was preceded in death by, her husband Jose Rogelio Rodriguez and son Marco Antonio Rodriguez. Visitation will be held Monday June 19, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Rosary at 5:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment to follow at the Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Cemetery. HUMBERTO GARZA

1943 - 2023

HUMBERTO GARZA, entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the age of 79. Left to cherish his memory is his Wife Cecilia S. Garza; Son: Humberto Onesimo Garza; Daughter: Cecilia Isabel Garza (Chiquis); Sister: Consuelo G. Garza. Humberto was also survived by 6 grandchildren. Humberto was preceded in death by, his son David Arturo Garza. Visitation will be held Friday June 16, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Rosary at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church.  Interment to follow at the Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Cemetery. ANTONIO ADAN BEATTIE, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the age of 91. Left to cherish his memory is his Wife Dolores M. Beattie; 2 Sons: Antonio Beattie and Pete Beattie; Daughter: Ana Lucia Reyes; Brother: Heriberto Beattie. Antonio was also survived by 4 grandchildren and 6 Great grandchildren. Antonio was preceded in death by, his grandson Lester Beattie. Visitation will be held Saturday June 17, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Rosary at 12:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church.  At the families request Mr. Beattie will be cremated. RAOUL R. CIFUENTES, entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the age of 64. Left to cherish his memory is his Sister Hilda Leticia Sifuentes; 2 Brothers: Samuel Sifuentes (Diane R.) and Joel R. Sifuentes. Raoul was also survived by nieces and nephews: Samantha S. Castaño (Nick), Melissa S. Flores (Jorge), Stephanie Sifuentes (Oscar Reyes), Anjelica and Richard Martinez, Joel Sifuentes Jr., Julian Sifuentes and Ana Sifuente. Great Nieces and Nephews: Destiny Enriquez, Savannah Enriquez, Michael Marmolejo. Godchildren: Alexsandra Mendez and Jesus “JT: Tovar III. Raoul was preceded in death by, his parents: Raul F. Sifuentes and Consuelo R. Sifuentes and niece Celina Marmolejo. When I started teaching last year, I ran into a lot of not only interesting kids, but kids who fight, who struggle with their lives and juggle work to support their families while trying to achieve big dreams in the process. That’s the difference between kids at one school and kids at the other.
