As Americans attempt to select a health care provider through the site of the Affordable Care Act, they have been finding that the site which has been placed to handle the high number of initial requests has been saturated to the point of inactivity which has been yet another criticism of the legislation by the Republican Party.

Much like our very own John Salazar stated in his fabulous 'Uphill and Against the Wind' this past weekend, the Budget Blackout which has been highly publicized and heavily criticized, comes in the wake of political backlash which is a direct attack on anything Obama and has no place in the American landscape, however, Humberto Duran of the United Medical Centers, has advised the public that they should not be discouraged, The Affordable Care Act has even taken this into consideration and one can opt to access the program through their toll free telephone lines as well.

He also says that citizens should not worry as another provision of this legislation is that the open marketplace opened October 1st, but you have through March 30th to be able to find the health care that is right for you before then.

A huge crowd of Eagle fans were treated to a fabulous 2013 Homecoming as the Eagle Pass Eagles and their defense put on a show for the ages picking off passes and halting a formidable United South offense possession after possession. Linebacker Mando Lopez turned the tables with a thirty yard interception return for a touchdown early in the second quarter to give the Eagles a lead they would never relinquish after his partners in crime stopped a Panther drive early to hold them to a field goal. The Lopez pick six was not his only interception of the evening as he got another later in the game, but the story of the night was the Eagle Defense rising to the occasion to give Eagle Pass its first District 29-AAAAA victory putting them in a tie for second behind loop leaders United and Alexander.

It takes a special kind of kid to dedicate four hours a day to a craft mostly performed by true professionals such as Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. The long hours and grueling pace in the perennially hot South Texas sun day in and day out can discourage most average american youngsters who would rather opt for the latest X Box video game or in Stela Sifuentes' case, the latest programs on The Disney Channel, Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network, but for Stela, it's another day on the cinder of her father's blue training court for forehands and backhands, volleys, serves and overheads. What she has her sights set on every time she strikes the felt off the tennis ball with impeccable accuracy and racquet speed is the same goal a young girl by the name of Sloan Stevens and her coaches had not too long ago. Sloan is most recently known for her stunning victory over Serena Williams at the 2013 Australian Open 3-6, 7-5, 6-4. Stevens also participated in what is known as the junior circuit of the US Davis Cup Team. Stela was selected to participate in the level 2 RTC camp in TBAR M in North Dallas where the numbers were dropped from the first level of  24 players to 18 players based on their USTA winning records and their performance at the level 1 RTC training camp. This time their main goal was to select, based on their performance at the camp 3 girls and 3 boys to represent the Texas section for the Junior Davis/ Fed Cup competition to be held in Oklahoma on October 18-21, 2013.
