Maverick County continues looking into the possibilities of building a third International Port of Entry in the near future. 

MicroStar Logistics is seeking to attract qualified employees to begin a career with the keg producing company and will be hosting a job fair on Thursday November 29 in Eagle Pass, Texas. 

The Maverick County Commissioners Court held a special meeting on Monday, November 26, 2018, in which they discussed numerous important topics dealing with county government business.

   One of the items that was discussed in executive session is the state of ownership of the VFW Park in Precinct 1. 

   Once back in open session the court moved to request that legal counsel proceed with actions as discussed in executive session.

   Although, it’s unclear as to what question is being looked over regarding property ownership the County has overhauled this park in recent years turning it from an abandoned park to a vibrant area of that neighborhood.

   Back in 2012 VFW Park was being used to store thousands of used and scrap tires right in the middle of the Chula Vista neighborhood.
