One Injured in Rollover on FM 481

One person was injured with non life-threatening injuries in a rollover on late Thursday on FM 481 also known as the Old Uvalde Road.
A 2005 model Ford F-150 pickup was found off the road and its driver, identified as Hipolito Hernandez, 32, of San Antonio.
The report from the Sheriff's Department indicates that the driver sustained some injuries contusions to the back and to his left arm and was transported via ambulance to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the causes of the accident.

Manrique Fuentes, Maverick County Water Plant Supervisor, informed The News Gram that at 2:00 A.M. a retaining wall from the MCWCID had broken and residents in the Radar Base area, the airport, Normandy and Quemado are being notified of emergency water rationing until further notice so that area residents are not left without water as the MCWCID conclude repairs.
In a memorandum dated July 6th, from Maverick Count water Works, they informed that water is to be used for human consumption only, no irrigation of crops, watering of lawns, washing of vehicles until further notice.
Inspections will be done and citations will be issued, no exceptions.
"If people abuse the water at this time, we will se a shortage," stated Jose Luis Rosales, Commissioner of Precinct 3, "They're saying one to two weeks and we only have capacity for so many days."
The County and the Maverick County Water Control and Improvement District are looking for resources to supply the water plant for treatment and distribution.  They are working with the MCWCID to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
