Police Department visit Benavides Elem. for career day
Eagle Pass Police Department officials were invited to visit the Benavides Elementary School as part of Career Day on Wednesday, May 23.
Police officials including Detective Hazel Diaz and Officer Hector Rodriguez met with a group of second graders and talked about their role as peace officers.
Disturbance prompts lockdown at Glass Elem.

The Eagle Pass Police Department responded to an incident regarding a disturbance in the vicinity of Nellie Mae Glass Elementary on Tuesday, February 20.
Upon arrival to the scene police officials were notified that the individual involved in the disturbance had fled the area and a search for the person was initiated.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) — An apparent murder-suicide inside an elementary school classroom in San Bernardino left two adults dead, including a teacher, and two students wounded, police and school officials said.
