Fugitive from September jail break serving time for murder
Del Rio, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Brackettville Station captured a known fugitive who escaped from a Mexican penal facility last year.
On Sept. 17, 132 inmates at the Centro de Readaptación Social (CERESO) Prison at Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico escaped, sparking a massive manhunt on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. Since that time, U.S. Border Patrol officials have worked closely with the government of Mexico to identify the escapees, and remain in constant communication to effect their capture.

EPISD Administration has informed The News Gram that they are in the process of seeking a new Director of Maintenance as present director Paco Farias will be retiring soon.
Jesus Costila, Director of Human Resources, said that they can begin taking applications from qualified applicants both from the EPISD or the public sector.
Two requisites are to have the necessary certification and sufficient academic preparation among other requisites.
He mentioned that Farias has completed a significant period as director and that he will in fact be retiring in June, however, the plan is to hire a new director before March in order to fulfill a period of transition with Farias.
The Maintenance Drector's job includes the upkeep of al campuses and/or any other maintenance issue that may arise.
In other information given, Costilla said that he had filled an assistant principal's position at ECC with Antonio Flores, a teacher at Pete Gallego.
He will replace Yolanda Mata who retired.
