A local waring has been issued by authorities in reference to the high temperatures which have been recorded in the past few weeks in this region as the heat index has risen above the 110º mark on several occasions which can cause heat stroke in the very young or in the elderly if the necessary precautions are not taken.
Hector Chavez, Director of Public Services has informed The News Gram that 4,000 tons of trash have been collected during the current campaign of general clean-up in the past three weeks of shrubs, wood, and other waste materials.
Additionally, inspectors have issued 600 notices to residents to clean their properties of weeds and unkept areas.
