Public hearing on water impact fees set for March 20

The Eagle Pass City council voted in favor of a resolution scheduling a public hearing to discuss the imposition of a water impact fee to benefit the Eagle Pass Water Works System and its Capital Improvement projects.

The City of Eagle Pass continues moving forward after setbacks in the building of the New Public Safety Headquarters.
Mayor Ramsey English Cantu along with EPPD Chief Alberto Guajardo and EPFD Chief Manuel Mello met with the project’s architects to review the details of the construction project this past week.
Public library re-opens

Man is arrested for distribution of marijuana at public park
The Maverick County Constables Office from Pct. 3AB detained and arrested a young man, identified as Antonio Viesca, in plain day light a few steps away from a public park in the Valerie Street area for possession of Hydroponic Marijuana with intent to distribute at around 7 pm on Monday, May 29.
