Rudy Bowles arrested for alleged threats against party chairman

Candidate for county judge and current school board member Rudy Bowles has turned himself in to police after he was accused of making threatening comments

to Maverick County Democratic Chairperson Luis A. Ruiz.

This statement officially announces my candidacy for the 293rd District Judge’s position in the upcoming election. This statement also delineates my qualifications as a candidate. It is my intent to provide background information so that the voters of Dimmit, Maverick, & Zavala Counties can make an informed decision when they vote.

  365th  Judicial District Judge Amado Abascal held a public hearing on Tuesday, August 8, regarding a proposed increase of pay rates of up to 5 percent under the upcoming county budget for the Maverick County Auditor and Assistant County Auditors. 

   Assistant City of Eagle Pass Municipal Judge Ruben Montemayor submitted his letter of resignation to the City of Eagle Pass.

  Judge Montemayor’s letter was submitted to Municipal County Judge Francisco Martinez , interim Finance Director Jesse Rodriguez and City Secretary Imelda B. Rodriguez.
